Description:
The spinal cord is slightly venrodorsaly flattened strand of the nervous tissue. Its lenght is 40 – 50 cm, weight 10 - 13 mm and weight 30 – 35 g. Cross sections changes in depend on the individual portions, the most widest part ist just in the cervical region. Spinal cord is situated within the vertebral canal and extensed from the greater foramen to the level of L2. It is cover by the meninges.
